Advancing Women’s Rights in Baluchistan: Strengthening Laws and Ensuring Accountability

The struggle against workplace harassment and the protection of women’s property rights are not just legal mandates, they are essential steps toward building inclusive, equitable spaces across Baluchistan.

In this spirit, FOSPAH held a constructive meeting with Nawabzada Mir Muhammad Zarain Khan Magsi, Parliamentary Secretary for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Culture, and Tourism.

The discussion centered on two pivotal laws: The Baluchistan Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2016 and the Women’s Property Rights Act, 2020. Emphasis was placed on strengthening enforcement mechanisms, ensuring that these protections translate into lived realities for women across the province.

This dialogue underscores collective accountability, lawmakers, institutions, and communities must work together to uphold women’s rights and dismantle barriers to justice.
