Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar Emphasizes Women’s Participation in Nation-Building at UMT Seminar

Workplaces and universities are not just institutions; they are mirrors of society. And in those mirrors, women’s presence is not symbolic, it is transformative. At the University of Management and Technology (UMT), the Girls Club convened an insightful seminar, sparking dialogue on how women shape communities, drive progress, and demand dignity in every sphere of life.

Madam Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson, reminded participants that national advancement cannot be imagined without women’s equal participation. She urged recognition of women’s active contributions in science, development, and nation-building, and emphasized that harassment is not a private matter but a collective societal concern.

The session reinforced a shared vision: awareness, equality, and empowerment as the foundation of dignity and respect in workplaces and society.
